Yuto Koba

Yuto Koba is pursuing a M.A. in International and Development Economics at Yale University, focusing on empirical microeconomics. Prior to Yale, he received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo, and has worked in strategy consulting in Tokyo, specializing in healthcare and pricing strategy. He has research experience across projects in economic history, health economics, and labor economics, and was awarded an Honourable Mention (~Top 30%) prize at the International Philosophy Olympiad (one of the science olympiads), becoming the sixth Japanese national ever to receive a prize in the competition. Outside of academics, he enjoys skiing, iaido (a Japanese swordsmanship martial art), and basketball.
