Yang Hong

Yang is pursuing a Master of Arts in International and Development Economics at Yale University. She is currently completing her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Economics with a minor in Statistics and Analytics.

Her academic interests lie in applied econometrics, development economics, and financial economics, with a focus on using data and quantitative methods to study real-world economic issues.

Professionally, Yang has gained experience in both research and industry settings. She has worked on data-driven projects with Project HOPE, contributing to public health analysis and policy-oriented research, and has also completed internships in the manufacturing sector, where she applied quantitative analysis to support business decision-making.

Outside of academics, Yang enjoys staying active through sports, traveling, and listening to music.
