Jiaqi Chen

Jiaqi Chen is pursuing her Master of Arts in International and Development Economics at Yale University. She graduated with Highest Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Economics and Psychology, and a minor in Statistics and Analytics. Jiaqi's research interests center on applied microeconomics, particularly the economics of education and mental health. Her recent paper, "The Effects of Adolescent Depression and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder on Educational Attainment in Adulthood," was published in the Journal of Economics & Human Biology.
Professionally, Jiaqi has served as a research assistant on projects exploring college education and mental health, held editorial roles for an undergraduate economics journal, and completed research internships in private equity and securities firms. Outside academia and professional endeavors, Jiaqi enjoys music, sports, and creative writing.
