Clair Kevin Nshimirimana

IDE Research Assisstant

Clair Kevin is a Master’s student in the International and Development Economics (IDE) program at Yale University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering ( First Class Honors) and has a strong academic foundation in economics, finance, and data analysis. His professional and research interests center on climate economics, sustainable finance, and development.

Before Yale, he worked at Persistent Energy and SIMA Funds, where he supported climate-focused investments and worked closely with innovators and entrepreneurs across Africa especially in the access of renewable energy, resource transition, smart agriculture. He is passionate about using research and finance to drive inclusive and climate-resilient development in emerging economies.

Outside of academics and work, he enjoys listening to music, hiking, and playing chess and basketball
