Arielle Bernhardt is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at NYU. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard in 2023. Before joining NYU, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the MIT Department of Economics for the 2023–24 academic year. Her research focuses on development economics, economic history, and political economy.
